4. Eligibility

All applicants must satisfy all of the following prerequisites:

  • 1. Occupation should fall under the Demand list
  • 2. Age should be 18 or above
  • 3. The point-based system should get at least 67 points
  • 4. Minimum 1 year of experience in relevant field (Depending on case to case )
  • 5. Should be Graduate / Diploma, P.G Degree / PhD.
  • 6. English Proficiency : IELTS (Score Depend on your profile)

5. External (Embassy) Process

This is a 4-stage process.
  • Step 1 : ECA (Education Credential Assessment) by WES (World Education Society) or any approved body as suggested by CIC.
  • Step 2 : EOI (Expression of Interest) to lodge an online application with the requisite IELTS score & other language score and enter the Online Application Pool. The selection process will happen based on a new system Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
  • Step 3 : CIC (Visa Filing) upon receiving an ITA (Invitation to Apply) Lodge an online PR Visa application within 90 days to CIC (Citizenship & Immigration Canada)
  • Step 4 : Upon Approval – The applicant will receive the Visa grant letter and make the necessary travel arrangements.

6. VISA/Embassy & Other Fees

  • 1. ECA – 322 CAD per applicant (by WES) it may vary based on the authority.
  • 2. IELTS – 14000 INR per person
  • 3. CIC Visa Fees – Primary Applicant - 825 CAD, Spouse - 825 CAD, Per child - 225 CAD
  • 4. PCC & Medical – 5000 INR (Approximately)
  • 5. Landing Fees - Primary Applicant - 500 CAD, Spouse - 500 CAD, Per child - no fees

7. Process Time

  • ECA – 20 - 45 Business Days
  • EOI – 14 days to 1 year (Application can remain in the pool for a maximum of 1 year and needs to be submitted again)
  • CIC - 3 to 6 months based on the country of application.

8. Critical Documents

  • For ECA – Transcripts in a sealed envelope for all higher education credentials (Diploma/Bachelor’s/Master’s/Ph.D.).
  • For EOI – Only online application documents are not required, however, one must keep the ECA report and IELTS score ready to file for the Online application.
  • For CIC Visa Filing -
    • a. ITA (Invitation to Apply)
    • b. Education Documents (Mark sheets, Convocation certificates, etc)
    • c. Experience Documents (Roles & Responsibility Letter, Experience, Relieving Letters, pay slips, etc)
    • d. IELTS Score Card
    • e. ECA report
    • f. Police Clearance Certificate (You may need a police certificate from any country or territory that you have spent six months or more since the age of 18).
    • g. Medical Certificate
    • h. Bank Statement (Funds must be available for a period of 1 – 3 months prior to visa filing)
    • i. Other Documents (As suggested and requested based on the case scenarios).
